Split cable grommets for cables with connectors
Split cable grommets allow the insertion of pre-assembled cables with already mounted connectors without the need for disassembly. This significantly reduces installation time. At the same time, warranty claims for the pre-assembled cables remain valid.

Flexible multi-range cable grommets for cables without connectors
For unassembled cables, icotek offers closed, flexible cable grommets in various designs, most of which cover a wider clamping range. A multi-membrane grommet with a high cable density is also available in various sizes.

Cable grommet installation - quick & easy
The preterminated cable is placed into the split grommet which is set into one of the cable entry frame’s compartments. The grommet is now securely fixed inside the frame and can’t fall out. Once the lid is affixed to the base frame, it is compressed and tightly sealed.
For cable grommets specifically designed for unassembled cables, the cables are simply pulled through the grommet.
When fitting the frames, it is important that the grommets in the bottom row face upwards with the flat side, and those in the top row face downwards with the flat side. Always mount the grommets flat on flat.
When using icotek cable grommets, the specified clamping ranges or the instructions for cutting the grommets should always be considered.

Many of the grommets achieve high protection ratings such as IP66/IP68 (certified according to EN 60529) or UL Type 4X* (certified according to UL 50E) and are therefore suitable for demanding environments with dust, moisture, or high mechanical stress.
The KT series cable grommets also offer high strain relief according to EN 62444 thanks to their high contact pressure.
Another advantage of icotek cable grommets is their high flexibility in cable configuration. Multi-cable grommets allow for the routing of several cables in confined spaces, thus contributing to a compact design of machines and systems.
Unused grommets can be quickly and easily sealed with plugs.
In addition, special EMC cable grommets provide secure shielding and help protect sensitive electrical components from electromagnetic interference.
Besides standard applications, icotek also develops special cable grommets for specific applications such as the railway industry, cleanrooms, and hygiene-critical applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
